You may elect to escrow your property tax payment through your mortgage company. This form of payment must be arranged between you as a tax payer and your mortgage company.

If you have chosen to pay online through our secure web server, please be advised that your payment will be deducted from your bank account and post as a paid property tax account within 3 to 4 business days.

Alabama State Law requires that this office accept NO CHECKS after April 1st of each year for outstanding property tax accounts. This applies to individuals and company checks presented for payment.

  • Why hasn't my check cleared the bank yet?
  • Each year this office receives many checks as payment for property taxes. Each check must be processed and the payment posted to each property account. If your mailed payment is postmarked on or before December 31st you will not be penalized.

DO NOT attempt to replicate your payment with cash, credit card, or replacement check as this will create a greater problem and may result in a delinquent account.
